Welcome to WorshipGTR

Celebrating and elevating the worship guitar player.

At JET Pedals, we love great tone, great gear and great worship songs. But we know that at the core of all that we love about the musical expression of worship are people who pour their souls and passion out on a platform on PURPOSE. This magazine is about honoring the people behind the guitars; the passion behind the tones and the soul behind the boards. We are elevating YOU - the worship guitar player - with stories, inspiration and education and joining you on your journey toward greatness.

Pedalboard Problems: Too Many or Too Few Options

One of the main questions we get from our customers is, “How do you dial in a good core guitar tone?” If you’re still trying to find your tone (that would be us, too 🖐️), a pedal with a ton of options can complicate matters.

  • WorshipGTR and the War of Art

Resistance is an enemy that hinders creative progress, disguising itself as reason and realism. It opposes forward movement and achievement, as described in Steven Pressfield's book "The War of Art."

  • That Worship Tone Defined

What is great worship tone? “That” worship sound can be very difficult to achieve because of the range of tones the worship player needs to cover. From verse to bridge or song to song, the tones can be drastically different. The beginning of a worship sound all starts with the guitar and amp, your core tone/clean tone.

  • From Hard Rock to a Heart of Worship

My encouragement is to look for and try out gear that best fits your needs, style, and budget. Whether you have an all-analog rig or digital modeler or something in between, whether you play a Gretsch or a Jazzmaster, the best gear is going to the ones that allow you to most excellently serve the songs, the worship team, and the congregation as you lead them in praising and glorifying God.

  • How to scale down without sacrificing tone.

If you’re afraid that scaling down will limit your options and reduce your ability to be creative, keep reading. We asked five worship guitar players how they scaled down their boards without compromising their sound. Here’s what they had to say!

  • An Evening with Gable Price & Friends

The evening started with a gracious dinner invitation from Adam Elizarraraz. He texted, “We’re grabbing dinner at Q39. Do you want to join us?” We had plans to meet up with the band after sound check but before the VIP meet and greet prior to the show, hoping for a little time to catch up with them. When we heard that one of the best barbecue spots in Kansas City was on the menu and that we’d get to spend time with the band, we excitedly said yes.

While most publications cover stories about the famous ones, we’re more interested in “the regular guy” (or gal). The ones who quietly and faithfully serve on their platforms week in and week out. The volunteers. The ones who stand in the back and create beauty without notice. This is where we tell YOUR story. Your story is important. We’d love to feature you.
